Tanya is a company dancer at City Opera Ballet. Tanya’s recent productions have included Sayoko Knode’s Handel’s Messiah, Jennifer Porter’s Disconnected, Amber Willett’s Romeo and Juliet, and classical works including Swan Lake, Dracula, and The Nutcracker. Tanya also performed choreography by Eva Stone in CHOP SHOP Contemporary Dance Festival and Seattle International Dance Festival. Prior to City Opera Ballet, Tanya was a company dancer at Mystic Ballet.  Tanya trained in ballet under Maria Vegh in the Bay Area, California. She then graduated from the University of California, Irvine, with Magna Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa honors in June 2014 with a B.F.A. in Dance Performance. Tanya has set three choreographies based on her studies of Slavic folk dance and classical ballet. Her main choreography, Bardejovsky Czardas, was highlighted in the Museum of Bela Keler in Bardejov, Slovakia and will be presented in Bardejov’s Summer Festival.
