Julia Israel (Chorus)- A native of Chicago, Julia moved to Arizona to study vocal performance with Dr. Robert Barefield and Carole Fitzpatrick at Arizona State University. During her time there, she toured Nevada, New Mexico and Colorado where she was featured as a soloist for ACDA and NCCO conferences, served as an alternate soprano for Arizona Opera, and was a member of Canto Vivo. Her solo repertoire ranges from Mozart's Requiem to Gilbert and Sullivan operettas to vocal jazz. Julia has extensive experience singing large choral works like Brahms’ Requiem and Orff’s Carmina Burana and has performed in various venues in Asia and North America, such as Forbidden City Concert Hall, Carnegie Hall, Mile One Centre, Ravinia, and Gammage Auditorium. She relocated to Seattle last year and has since performed with City Opera Ballet, Choral Arts, and Dickens Carolers. Her past shows with COB include Handel's "Messiah" and "Opera + Ballet in the City". Julia is very grateful for the opportunities she has had in Seattle so far and looks forward to many more!
